If pets count as possessions, then I would have to say my cats. They are certainly treasures (one of them is even named Jeu'el... pronounced Jewel with the slightest accent). =) Otherwise, my books, of course.
This is going to be a weird answer but my most prized treasure is a jewlery box filled with little trinkets. It wouldn't be worth anything, neither would any of the things inside (like feathers from birds my parents and I owned, costume jewlery my grandmother gave me before she died, a strawberry pin that a neighbor gave me as a child, etc.) but it's something I truly love. Oh and of course my baby blankets that my grandmother's gave me when I was born! Not to mention my books, my wedding rings, and my cat lol

Kelly :)
My most prized possession would be my pearl necklace. I had always wanted one growing up, but we came from very modest means and I couldn't afford it. When I was 18 I got my first "real" job and put away money to afford one. I was finally able to buy one (I had to save sensibly) for my 20th birthday. I wore it as my something old when I got married four days after my 40th birthday. When our home was broken into, I thought it was stolen, but somehow it was missed even though the drawer it was in was ravaged. Anyway, it just symbolizes to me that good things are worth waiting for and working for like my necklace and my marriage (it was my first for both). :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
