Blog Tour : Mating Rituals of the North American WASP by Lauren Lipton

Review: Peggy Adams wakes up one morning beside a strange man and freaks out. She had the weirdest dream of getting married in a Las Vegas Chapel. She had gone to Vegas with some of her friends to get some space from her boyfriend of seven years, Brock. They had had a fight; Peggy was tired of waiting and wanted to get married.

When Peggy returns home, Brock surprises her with a ring. An engaged-to-be-engaged ring. Not quite what she had in mind, but definately a step forward. Then she receives a disturbing phone call while at work. It seems she married to a guy named Luke Sedgwick while in Vegas. They were both pretty tipsy and the rest is history. Luke doesn't want to be married anymore than Peggy does so they agree to get an annulment.

However, Luke's Aunt isn't well, and to inherit the mansion, the two must remain married for a year. Peggy agrees because the money would help her business and help pay for a grand wedding to Brock. But as Peggy becomes involved with the Sedgwick family and the small, quaint and preppy Connecticut town, she finds herself falling in love with her husband. The problem is her husband seems to have no feelings for her.

Full of funny scenes, witty repartee, and unique character that are so developed I could see having them over for coffee, Mating Rituals of the North American WASP is a treat! Mystery and romance and a very entertaining read. I loved it! I didn't want to put it down.

The old grey donkey, Eeyore stood by himself in a thistly corner of the Forest, his front feet well apart, his head on one side, and thought about things. Sometimes he thought sadly to himself, "Why?" and sometimes he thought, "Wherefore?" and sometimes he thought, "Inasmuch as which?" and sometimes he didn't quite know what he was thinking about.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to leave a comment. It's appreciated.
