Georgina Kincaid is a succubus in downtown Seattle. She spends her days working in a book store and her evenings sucking life energy from men and women. Georgina loves being immortal and able to change her shape at will, but it has it's drawbacks. When she was dating Seth Mortensen, it was hard for her to get close to him physically because she was afraid she'd suck out some of his energy. Unfortunately, that isn't a problem anymore since Seth dumped her for Georgina's co-worker Maddie.

Georgina is heart-broken, and has such volatile mood swings that her soul count has risen dramatically. But her demon boss, Jerome, is not pleased with Georgina's attitude of late and decides to punish her. He outsources her to a rival in Vancouver to help him with a local Satanic cult problem as well as do some spying for Jerome. But the kids running the cult seem to always be one step ahead of Georgina with their protests and vandalism. She knows the leader of the group is an angel, but she can't seem to figure out who it is. If she can get to the leader, maybe she can shut the operation down and get back to Seattle.

Unfortunately, Jerome disappears mysteriously and with him, her powers. She is terrified to go anywhere since she isn't sure if she is still immortal. All the immortals lost their powers with Jerome's disappearance and it's weird seeing vampires walking the sidewalks in full sunshine. The demon's who do have powers are jostling for to fill Jerome's empty position. Georgina must rescue her boss and find out who is behind it, or all hell is about to break loose. On top of it all, with her now being mortal, she can have relations with Seth if she can maneuver around his girlfriend Maddie.
