The Green Green Pear by Manjula Naraynan

The green green pear wishes he were something else. He doesn't like his shape, his color, or the sound that he doesn't make.

Then one night gazing into the sky, he sees a shooting star and makes a wish to become something else The green green pear gets his wish, but he doesn't like what he becomes. In his heart he is a green green pear. So he wishes to change again, and again, and again.

The green green pear is colorfully illustrated. Bright, bold colors that can capture the eyes of a child. Of course the moral is an important part of the story; to learn to love yourself. But there are colors, shapes and sounds to learn as well. A great addition to any child's library. Absolutely adorable!

The old grey donkey, Eeyore stood by himself in a thistly corner of the Forest, his front feet well apart, his head on one side, and thought about things. Sometimes he thought sadly to himself, "Why?" and sometimes he thought, "Wherefore?" and sometimes he thought, "Inasmuch as which?" and sometimes he didn't quite know what he was thinking about.
