Mind Games by Olivia Starke

Cassandra Archer inherited her late grandmother's small farm in Kansas, along with her half-blind Yorkie and her thirty-year-old pick-up truck.  Her grandmother practiced witchcraft, using healing spells to help those in town who believed in her work.  Cassie tends to stay alone quite often because the townsfolk are very judgmental about her late grandmother.  She would love to have someone to share her life with, but it is hard to get past the judgmental folks in town to meet anyone.

Sheriff Garrett Daniels is investigating the death of Cassandra Archer.  Her body was found bound and dumped, and he has very little clues.  While on his way to the crime scene, he pulls over to a broken down truck to offer aid.  He is instantly besotted with the small redheaded woman.  When she introduces herself as Cassandra Archer, Garrett's mind starts to spin in all sorts of directions.

Sheriff Daniels digs into the past of the living Cassie Archer and learns that her father was recently released from prison.  He figures that's a good place to start asking questions, and it gives him an excuse to see her again.  He and Cassie share an instant attraction and are soon deep in passion not long after his arrival.  Then something curious and sinister happens.  An ancient spell book, belonging to
Cassie's grandmother, keeps moving on its own accord and it is freaking them both out.  What is worse is that an apparition soon reveals itself near the book and Cassie and Garrett see their first ghost; Cassie's grandmother.  She warns Cassie that her father is coming for her
and she must use the book to protect herself.

MIND GAMES is an erotic and mysterious ghost story.  Cassie and Garrett's passion sizzles and smolders into a roaring fire that will knock your socks off.  The mystery unravels slowly, the suspense building until the final climax.  The addition of Cassie’s grandmother as a ghost
adds just the right amount of supernatural to this thrilling and page-turning erotic romance.  Totally hot!

The old grey donkey, Eeyore stood by himself in a thistly corner of the Forest, his front feet well apart, his head on one side, and thought about things. Sometimes he thought sadly to himself, "Why?" and sometimes he thought, "Wherefore?" and sometimes he thought, "Inasmuch as which?" and sometimes he didn't quite know what he was thinking about.
