The Turn of the Karmic Wheel by Monica Brinkman Tour

I'm sure you have used or heard the term, what goes around comes around.  Karma can be rough.

In The Turn of the Karmic Wheel, Monica Brinkman takes us on journey unlike one you have ever travelled before.  The characters are all introduced separately until their paths cross and become one.

Euclid is an older man, a recent widow, who always pretty much kept to himself.  His personality takes a desperate nosedive when he begins to hear music and voices.  Is he going crazy? He, a man who doesn't hunt, walks in the cold for a long while until he gets to the shop that will sell him a rifle.

Angela Frank has been hearing voices and music for years, but has no idea why.  Crazy? maybe, but recently the voices and music are beginning to make sense and she knows she is about to go on a mission with others.   Karman Shelton is hearing music and voices too.  She works at a Psychiatric center, so maybe her job is rubbing off, but she's always tried to do the right thing.

The three of them embarq on a journey, and the age old adage of Good vs. Evil is brought to fruitation.  Everyone's actions have consequences.  Truly, some believe they won't pay those consequences until the next life.  But what if you had to pay them in this one? Maybe then choices would be made differently.  Monica Brinkman takes reincarnation and karma to a whole new level in a pleasing and page-turning novel.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Monica M. Brinkman lived in the Philadelphia, PA area, relocated to the California Bay, where she resided for thirty years and now resides in the St. Louis, MO area, which was the inspiration of her newest book, The Turn of the Karmic Wheel.

She views herself as a citizen of all the States, finding that people throughout the country are warm, caring and most want the same things in life, to enjoy their passions, make a living and be surrounded by those they love. In her own words, “Life is truly an adventure. I believe in giving everyone the opportunity to go after their passions in life. To not do so, creates hostility, depression and emptiness.”

A free-lance author and poet, she embraces stories that have meaning and purpose. Though a bit of a rebel, when some authors told her that no one would ever read a story set in the Missouri Ozarks, nor would they wish to read a mixed genre, that was all it took. “How dare they insult the intelligence of our readers by placing them in a box”. Off she went, and wrote this exact type of story, set in the small rural college town of Raleigh, MO. It is a mixed genre of suspense, horror, spiritutality and a touch of the paranormal. Monica is working on the sequel, The Wheels Final Turn, set in the State of California.

  1. Wendy,
Thank you for reading and reviewing my book, The Turn of the Karmic Wheel. It's been a long time in coming as the story has been on my mind for years.
My computer has been down for the last three days so I missed visiting with anyone or sharing this review. Ah, but it is now fixed by our local cable company and I am ready to continue writing and blogging.
Take care and I'll be sure to mention your wonderful site to others. It is surely someone who loves books who takes time out of their busy life to do reviews. You are appreciated.

The old grey donkey, Eeyore stood by himself in a thistly corner of the Forest, his front feet well apart, his head on one side, and thought about things. Sometimes he thought sadly to himself, "Why?" and sometimes he thought, "Wherefore?" and sometimes he thought, "Inasmuch as which?" and sometimes he didn't quite know what he was thinking about.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to leave a comment. It's appreciated.
