Twas the night by Sandra Hill, Kate Holmes, and Trish Jensen

“Christmas or Bust!” What do a Blue Angels pilot, a bounty hunter and an ex-NFL football player have in common? The three bad-boy bachelors of Snowdon, Maine have to make a friend’s Christmas Eve wedding on time or die trying! They’re willing to risk anything to make that happen—even dashing through the snow in the goofiest bus on Earth, bright red and filled with a bunch of merry, meddling senior citizens known as the Santa Brigade. All too soon, these men will have met their matches in three special women: a woman from their past, a forest ranger so hot she ought to be declared a fire hazard, and a woman on the run. Ho, ho, OH!While serving up holiday cheer with the Santa Brigade, the guys will discover ‘tis the season for good will and folly. Wise men or not, they are well and truly caught, which means these roguish St. Nicks are willing to jingle a few bells along the way if that’s what it takes to find what they truly want for Christmas nestled in their beds after the stockings are stuffed and the gifts placed under the tree.

It is rare when three authors write an anthology round robin style.  In fact, this is the first book I've read that is written that way.  Sandra Hill wrote all of the chapter's from Sam's POV, Trish Jensen wrote Kevin's, and Kate wrote Stan's.  It's also rare to read a romance book from the male's POV! I have to say I found it quite refreshing.

Three orphans and friends, Kevin, Sam and Stan are invited to attend the wedding of their friend George for Christmas Eve.  However, a snow storm has shut down the airline for Blue Angels Pilot Sam.  So, he decides to ride on the Santa Brigade, a bus filled with senior citizen Santas doing good for orphans.  Bad enough to be stuck for the ride to Maine on a bus with senior citizen santas, but also the group director is none other than Sam's ex-flame, Rebecca Anderson.

Along the journey, they pick up bounty hunter Kevin, who has his newest capture in handcuffs, none other than fiery tempered Cassandra Brandt.  But that's not all, the bus also picks up ex-pro quarterback Stan and a beautiful fire ranger, Dana Freeman.

The whole ride is full of sparks, humor, romance, and we learn about what has molded these fine strong characters.  The writing seems to flow so seemlessly, you would think it was written by one author -

that's how great these writers are! Things may get tough, but love can bring you through, but you have to work at it.  But then again, like my pappy told me, if it's free, it's not worth keeping.  If your looking for an enjoyable romance to read this holiday season, pick up 'Twas the Night! Simply Wonderful!!

The old grey donkey, Eeyore stood by himself in a thistly corner of the Forest, his front feet well apart, his head on one side, and thought about things. Sometimes he thought sadly to himself, "Why?" and sometimes he thought, "Wherefore?" and sometimes he thought, "Inasmuch as which?" and sometimes he didn't quite know what he was thinking about.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to leave a comment. It's appreciated.
