Lore is a seminus demon, brother to the heros in Pleasure Unbound, Desire Unchained, Passion Unleashed. He's a deadly assassin and he only needs one more kill to be free of his master.  His master has withheld that last job for years, but Lore is about to get his wish.  He must assassinate Kynan Morgan, the human whom Lore brought back to life in Passion Unleashed.  If he doesn't, his master will kill Lore's sister, Sin.

Idess is an earthbound angel who is sworn to protect Kynan Morgan.  His amulet provides the protection of immortality and many demons and otherworldlies would kill to own it.  But when Kynan's life is in jeopardy, Idess will do anything to protect him.  But when an old adversary rises again bent on vegeance and destruction, Lore and Idess must join forces if they hope to win this war.

Full of sizzling passion, and alpha characters will leave you on the edge of your seat.  Hot! Hot! Hot! Larissa Ione doesn't disappoint, her writing just gets better and better.  I look forward to seeing what she has in store for us next!

About the Author:

I began writing the way so many writers do—the moment I learned to wield a pencil. But even as a child, I didn't write "kid" stories. I preferred something more dramatic. Something that didn't include Dick, Jane, and a dog named Spot. I wanted my characters to be named Dracula and my dogs to have names like White Fang or Cujo. I'll always have my parents to thank for that. They never censored my reading material (though I suspect that if they had truly known what was between the covers of some of the books, they'd have been a little more careful,) so when other girls my age were reading Laura Ingalls Wilder and Judy Blume, I was immersing myself in Stephen King and Dean Koontz.
Later, after I'd joined the Air Force and was in dire need of something to read between shifts at the weather station, I continued to read horror, but I'd branched out into fantasy, and then, finally, romance (though I admit I went kicking and screaming to the latter.)

Turned out that I loved romance! So I started writing it, but again, my style and voice leaned toward the dark, paranormal side. Fortunately for me, paranormal romance, as a sub-genre, was booming. I let my imagination fly, and soon I'd sold a series of dark, sexy paranormal romances to Grand Central Publishing.

I still read a lot of horror, science fiction, and fantasy, and in fact, one of my all time favorite books about writing is On Writing, by my favorite childhood horror author, Stephen King. If you're an author or a reader, I highly recommend this book for an insight into an author's mind—which can sometimes be a very scary place.

Go ahead; Seduce your dark side.

Lessons in French by Laura Kinsale

Trevelyn and Callie experiencen a young love until the day her father catches them making out in the carriage house.  Her father forbids her to see him again, but it's not a problem since Trevelyn leaves.  He's gone for nine years until his return.

In the meantime, Callie has been jilted three times.  She is now determined that she will not marry.  Hopefully, she can see her younger sister married and her husband will be kind enough to let Callie live with them.

Callie doesn't understand what is so wrong with her that she can't find a suitable husband.  She's not beautiful but she's pretty enough.  She has money and is gentle and kind.  But when Trevelyn suddenly returns, Callie realizes that only he can set her heart ablaze.

Trevelyn is shocked that Callie is unmarried upon his return, but doesn't let the circumstance deter him.  He is still as attracted to her as he was nine years ago.  He would do anything for Callie, except give his heart.

Laura Kinsale spins such a fine web of a story, you find yourself ensnared from page one with no desire to be let go.  The characters are full of depth and vitality, and the romance is both sweet and passionate.  This is my first novel by Ms. Kinsale, but I will definitely be looking for her other works.  A truly magical romance!

Guest Author Judi Fennell w/ a giveaway

Hi, Wendy, and thanks so much for having me back.

So, the Top 10 Things I Do Before I Write? Here goes:
Go to the gym.
Shower.
Put on my blue, fluffy robe, slippers, and the tiara my brother-in-law got me for Christmas.
Laundry.
Straighten up.
Let the dogs out.
Cuss the kid who forgot something and needs me to run it to school.
Let the dogs in.
Get dressed and do my hair, tossing makeup on willy-nilly because the child needs that item NOW!
Drop item off at school, stop by my PO Box, drop off the drycleaning, get gas in the car, go to the grocery store for that one thing I forgot for dinner, stop at the local farm for the milk we ran out of, drop a letter off in my neighbor's mailbox that the mailman delivered to my house by mistake, come home and let the dogs back out, swap out the loads of laundry, fold said laundry, let the dogs back in, check my email, put the tiara back on, then open up my latest story. Me procrastinate? Surely you jest.

Top 10 Things I Do When I'm Writing
Open my water bottle.
Cue the playlist on my iPod.
Read the last thing I wrote and edit it.
Start writing the next thing that pops into my head.
Answer a few emails when the scene is kicking my butt.
Check in with my online friends, The Writing Wombats, when the scene is too complicated and I don't want to write it.
Contact my local bookstores to set up book signings when my muse clamps her mouth shut and refuses to tell me what happens next.
Force myself through the scene, even if it means playing "What If?" and remind myself that those scenes make good website freebies.
Re-read what I've just written and decide it stinks.
Go grab a snack, chat with the dogs, check the clock and realize that the kids will be home in a half hour, go back to the computer, re-read what I just wrote and realize it's not bad at all. Matter of fact, it's pretty good, and ya know? The next thing that happens is…

Pretty soon, I’m engrossed in the story, fingers flying over the keyboard, that big, emotional moment is just about to happen when--

The kids come home and I have to go listen to their day.

Or, I can just pack everything up and spend thirteen hours at my local Borders and write a good portion of the book.

Yes, the lists are totally tongue-in-cheek, but that's because, really? It's always different. I might know exactly what I'm going to write, and I might not. Some days are a struggle to get 1000 words written; others, I can write 4000. The key thing is, however, to put my butt in the chair, open the manuscript and work on it.

I wish it were as easy as it seems. Before I started writing, I hadn't really considered all the time that goes into it. All the research, the editing, thinking of just the right word… I'd just pick up a book by my favorite author and allow myself to get carried away in the story.

Which is what I hope happens when readers pick up my books. Now that Catch of a Lifetime is in stores, you can sail through all three!

And don’t forget to stop by my website, www.JudiFennell.com, to register to win the last of the romantic beach getaways, this time in West Palm Beach, FL at the Hibiscus House B&B (www.HibiscusHouse.com)

Dead Game: An Emily Stone Novel by Jennifer Chase

Emily Stone and Rick Lopez used to work for the police.  Now, they work independently catching child killers.  Most times, they do all the detective work then alert the proper authorities to make the arrest.  The local police department think it's a rumor that there is a phantom detective out there doing their work for them.  But then they get an email with the whole crime layed out for them on a child killer, and they become believers.

Eagle Eye is a new interactive spy game that has become really popular.  The designer, Derek McGraw, is proud of his game and so is his Uncle Mort, whom used to work with Lopez.  When Mort is found dead, the police declare it an accident.  But Derek thinks it was a homocide and calls in Rick to investigate.

Mort was working on something that got him killed, and Emily is determined to find out what it was.  The deeper Emily and Rick get into the investigation, the higher the stakes raise.  They find an alternate internet that is used just for serial killers, and they find a link between Eagle Eye and the victims of a loose serial killer in town.  But they will have to get one step ahead of the killers if they hope to solve this crime.  The killer has now targeted them as his next victims.  They must stop him or its end game.

Jennifer Chase writes a thrilling novel of action, suspense, and a bit of romance.  Emily and Rick are wonderful and diverse characters that had me up late turning the pages.  She gets into the mind of the killers as well as showing you the flip side of investigation that will have your head spinning and nodding as it all clicks into place.  I look forward to reading more of Ms. Chases' work.  A thrilling book!

Catch of a Lifetime by Judi Fennell

Ms. Fennell's third underwater adventure opens with Harry the Hammerhead shark in swift pursuit of mermaid Angel Tritone.   To escape him, she climbs onto the deck of a gently bobbing boat.

Logan Hardington is almost speechless when he sees the young nude woman sleeping on his deck the next morning.  Although he would like to do more than just look, he quickly covers her up with a blanket so his young son doesn't get more than an eyeful.

Logan's young son is determined to have a mermaid for his birthday and ensures that his dad lets Angel stay.  Angel has spent researching humans for quite some time, and this is a great opportunity for her.  But she can't forget that she has to visit the sea at least once every two days or she will lose her tail forever.  She takes to babysitting for young Michael, and trying to keep her wits and heart intact around the handsome Logan.

Filled with Ms. Fennell's trademark of animated, human speaking characters, and a sweet love story, Catch of a Lifetime is a fantastic addition to the series.  Logan and Angel are wonderful well-rounded characters who complement each other wonderfully.  You'll want to dive into Catch of a Lifetime and won't want to let go.  Simply enchanting!

Mind Games by Olivia Starke

Cassandra Archer inherited her late grandmother's small farm in Kansas, along with her half-blind Yorkie and her thirty-year-old pick-up truck.  Her grandmother practiced witchcraft, using healing spells to help those in town who believed in her work.  Cassie tends to stay alone quite often because the townsfolk are very judgmental about her late grandmother.  She would love to have someone to share her life with, but it is hard to get past the judgmental folks in town to meet anyone.

Sheriff Garrett Daniels is investigating the death of Cassandra Archer.  Her body was found bound and dumped, and he has very little clues.  While on his way to the crime scene, he pulls over to a broken down truck to offer aid.  He is instantly besotted with the small redheaded woman.  When she introduces herself as Cassandra Archer, Garrett's mind starts to spin in all sorts of directions.

Sheriff Daniels digs into the past of the living Cassie Archer and learns that her father was recently released from prison.  He figures that's a good place to start asking questions, and it gives him an excuse to see her again.  He and Cassie share an instant attraction and are soon deep in passion not long after his arrival.  Then something curious and sinister happens.  An ancient spell book, belonging to
Cassie's grandmother, keeps moving on its own accord and it is freaking them both out.  What is worse is that an apparition soon reveals itself near the book and Cassie and Garrett see their first ghost; Cassie's grandmother.  She warns Cassie that her father is coming for her
and she must use the book to protect herself.

MIND GAMES is an erotic and mysterious ghost story.  Cassie and Garrett's passion sizzles and smolders into a roaring fire that will knock your socks off.  The mystery unravels slowly, the suspense building until the final climax.  The addition of Cassie’s grandmother as a ghost
adds just the right amount of supernatural to this thrilling and page-turning erotic romance.  Totally hot!
