Dead of Wynter by Spencer Seidel

Alice Wynter has secrets and she'd rather leave them in the past.  But with a middle of the night phone call, all hedged bets are off.  Alice's mother is on the phone letting her know that her father is dead by suicide and her twin brother Chris is missing.

Alice leaves her husband behind while she travels home to help her mom and the local police find her brother.  When she had left home years ago for college, her brother had well been on his way to becoming a mirror image of their father - an abusive drunk.

When the authorities reveal that her father's death was not a suicide, but an apparent homicide, the mystery surrounding the event grows darker.  Last seen with Chris and her mother hiding secrets of her own, the authorities will have to dig deep into the locked closet of secrets the Wynters hold dear to hopefully help them with their investigation.  The results will shock and sadden you.

Seidel's debut is absolutely stellar! The writing will captivate you as the story unfolds with flashbacks and the present.  Alice is an appealing character with a strong supporting cast.  A great mystery that unfolds at just the right pace.  I look forward to reading more from Spencer Seidel!!

Spencer will be guest blogging here on Friday, May 6th! Make sure to stop in to say hi and enter for a copy of Dead of Wynter!!

The old grey donkey, Eeyore stood by himself in a thistly corner of the Forest, his front feet well apart, his head on one side, and thought about things. Sometimes he thought sadly to himself, "Why?" and sometimes he thought, "Wherefore?" and sometimes he thought, "Inasmuch as which?" and sometimes he didn't quite know what he was thinking about.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to leave a comment. It's appreciated.
