The Unseen by Heather Graham

US Marshal Kelsey O'Brien has a gift of 'seeing' the past unfolding in the present.  She doesn't talk about her gift - she doesn't want anyone to think she is crazy.  But her gift has given her an edge in her field, a job that she is very good at.  When she is called to San Antonio, Texas to join a federal elite team of investigators who all have paranormal gifts, she is hopeful, yet hesitant.

Texas Ranger Logan Raintree has been out of the field for a few years. Ever since his wife was murdered, Logan has stayed out of the forefront. Now, he's been asked to lead a new federal team of paranormal investigators. Logan also has a gift of communing with the dead and with their current case; his gift could be a valuable asset.

Over the past few years, women have been turning up murdered or missing. Then there is the legend of Rose Langley, a beautiful prostitute who was killed at the Longhorn Saloon. Just a year ago, another woman was slain in the same room, but no body was found. Logan and Kelsey believe all of the murders are connected and set out to find the killer. Another woman is missing; can they find her before it is too late?

With new additions to their team, the help of a few ghosts and the Legend of the Galveston Diamond brought forth, their investigation leads them to something dark and sinister. With Logan's infinity with his Indian ancestry, crows seem to help them along their way, dropping clues or flying over crime scenes. Also, a romance blossoms between Logan and Kelsey, bringing them and their gifts closer to the truth. But when one of their own disappears, the stakes increase. Will the gifts of the paranormal team be enough to prevent one of their own from becoming one of San Antonio's ghosts?

THE UNSEEN is a great whodunit with paranormal overtones. The romance between Logan and Kelsey brims with intensity and passion but takes a backseat to the mysterious disappearance of several women and a legend as old as time. Author Heather Graham does an impeccable job of keeping the reader entertained, puzzled and turning the pages, trying to figure out who the killer is. If you enjoy a touch of the supernatural and a great mystery, pick up THE UNSEEN today!

The old grey donkey, Eeyore stood by himself in a thistly corner of the Forest, his front feet well apart, his head on one side, and thought about things. Sometimes he thought sadly to himself, "Why?" and sometimes he thought, "Wherefore?" and sometimes he thought, "Inasmuch as which?" and sometimes he didn't quite know what he was thinking about.
