MY THOUGHTS
This is the second book in the Monastery Murder series, the first being A Very Private Grave. However, it is my first experience reading this author and I have to say I was delighted. Felicity is a very likable character, who at first I believed flighty but who soon proved me wrong. She has a splendid personality and believes she should become a nun. However, when she discovers that the Lady of Transfiguration icon has become missing, she decides to find it. Father Antony tries to keep her from the investigation, but to no avail. Then there is Felicity's mother who is completely upset that her daughter wants to join a convent. Rich in historical and religious detail, a blooming romance, murder, secrets and clever writing, A Darkly Hidden Truth is an engaging and exemplary read.

Donna Fletcher Crow is the author of 36 books, mostly novels dealing with British history. The award-winning Glastonbury, an Arthurian grail search epic covering 15 centuries of English history, is her best-known work. A Very Private Grave, Book 1 in the Monastery Murders series, is her reentry into publishing after a 10-year hiatus.
