Destiny and Deception by Shannon Delany

Since the Russakuva's have taken the cure for their lycanthropy, things begin to settle down into normal. They return to school and find jobs to pay the bills. But the cure isn't permanent, so in the back of their minds is the question, 'how long?'. It's a big change from werewolf to human for Pietr and it's changed him inside, but he's trying.

However, the romance between Pietr and Jessie is strained. She begins to realize that the boy she fell in love with has changed and there is no going back. Does she love him enough to love the new Pietr? There is also the addition of a new werewolf pack in town and with it, a new alpha, Marlaena, that has set her sights on Pietr. What makes this interesting is the fact that since they are cured, no one should be able to sniff out the fact that they used to be werewolves. Also, since Pietr is no longer a wolf, but human, why does Marlaena want him?

When danger seems to lurk around the corner, who will be able to step up and make the decisions needed to keep them all safe? With an appealing heroine, a great cast of friends and darkness lurking over their heads, DESTINY AND DECEPTION is an enthralling read. The cliffhanger at the end will leave fans begging for more. DESTINY AND DECEPTION can be read as a standalone, but I highly urge you to pick up the first three in the series, 13 TO LIFE, SECRETS AND SHADOWS and BARGAINS AND BETRAYALS.

The old grey donkey, Eeyore stood by himself in a thistly corner of the Forest, his front feet well apart, his head on one side, and thought about things. Sometimes he thought sadly to himself, "Why?" and sometimes he thought, "Wherefore?" and sometimes he thought, "Inasmuch as which?" and sometimes he didn't quite know what he was thinking about.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to leave a comment. It's appreciated.
