Bailey is about to make the real estate deal of her life and she's nervous and excited. If she can pull it off though, the commission check will be substantial enough that she and her husband Brad can finally have a baby. It's all Bailey wants to perfect her life but Brad has been adamant about being financial secure first.
But before Bailey can close the sale, she gets a phone call that tilts her world. Brad has been in an auto accident and was clinically dead for thirteen minutes. He's still in bad shape, a coma, but the doctors are optimistic. Bailey stays by his bedside until he awakes and then weeks later, they are back home.
But Brad isn't dealing with the loss of his Aunt Olivia well. She was driving the car Brad was in, and he feels guilty. He tells Bailey he saw the light and it was an encompassing love -a feeling he can't replicate. He is a new man - the life-altering experience forever changing him.
When Olivia's will is read, Brad learns that she had money - lots of money. Now almost a millinaire, Bailey is thrilled that they can finally start trying for a baby. But Brad has other ideas - he buys a lighthouse without telling Bailey until afterward. He dreams of running a bed and breakfast. Bailey has been through Brad though all of his other business schemes, but this is too much for her. She tries, but what she really wants is her husband back - before he saw the light. Can these two people find one another again?
The Things I Do For You is a page-turning read with two characters I fell in love with. Brad and Bailey both have their own issues, but when it comes down to it, they love one another. What lengths will someone go to for those they love? When is enough, enough? A heart-warming and entertaining read, I really wanted to shake some sense into Bailey and knock Brad upside the head. I couldn't put it down and I highly recommend this novel! Fantastic writing!
