From Amazon - In 1883 Michigan, Lily Young is on a mission to save her lost sister, or die trying. Heedless of the danger, her searches of logging camps lead her to Harrison and into the sights of Connell McCormick, a man doing his best to add to the hard-earned fortunes of his lumber baron father.
Posing during the day as a photographer's assistant, Lily can't understand why any God-fearing citizen would allow evil to persist and why men like Connell McCormick turn a blind eye to the crime rampant in the town. But Connell is boss-man of three of his father's lumber camps in the area, and like most of the other men, he's interested in clearing the pine and earning a profit. He figures as long as he's living an upright life, that's what matters.
Unending Devotion is a page-turning story that will find a place in your heart. Lily Young is looking for her missing sister and she will do whatever it takes to find her. She works as a photographer's assistant and it takes her to different towns and camps. Not only can she do her job, but visiting these different areas let her broaden her search more than she could on her own.
Connell McCormick works for his wealthy father and is determined to increase the family coffers by expanding their business. But when Lily comes into his town, things start to look a bit differently. As the two get closer and he begins to help Lily with her quest, things take a different turn. I won't tell you what all happens because I don't want to spoil anything, but I will say that things get a bit hairy and unexpected. The characters are well-developed and real, as well as the plot can be paralleled to today's times. A suspenseful, clean romance that will endear readers to Jody Hedlund's talent!

The old grey donkey, Eeyore stood by himself in a thistly corner of the Forest, his front feet well apart, his head on one side, and thought about things. Sometimes he thought sadly to himself, "Why?" and sometimes he thought, "Wherefore?" and sometimes he thought, "Inasmuch as which?" and sometimes he didn't quite know what he was thinking about.
Thank you for taking time out of your day to leave a comment. It's appreciated.
