Hunk for the Holidays by Katie Lane

From Goodreads - Always putting business before pleasure, Cassie McPherson works hard for her family's construction business. That might explain why she doesn't have a date for the company Christmas party. But it doesn't quite explain why she's crazy enough to hire an escort for the event or - crazier still - why she's dying to unwrap him like a present . . . With whiskey-colored eyes and a killer smile, James is one gorgeous hunk who really knows how to fill out a tuxedo. He charms everyone, including Cassie. And when the night ends, the party doesn't stop. As Cassie falls, literally, into his bed, James falls head over heels in love. Now he has to figure out a way to tell her the truth: he's not an escort. He's her family's fiercest business rival. But all he wants for Christmas is her . . .

Cassie McPherson is a workaholic. She works at her father's construction business M & M Construction along with her four overprotective brothers. She hasn't been so lucky in love and tries really hard to prove to her dad that she deserves to do more than be a glorified accountant for the business. So to keep her family off her back she hires an escort for a Christmas party she needs to attend. When a handsome masculine man shows up in her office right on time for the party she just assumes it's her escort for the night. Of course he doesn't correct her seeing as she's decked out in a sexy little red dress and heels. A few too many drinks and they end up in bed together, which doesn't seem that bad since they seem to really connect. Problem is Cassie doesn't realize that James is actually James Sutton, the very man she has been cursing for taking business away from her father's company....
I have never smiled so much while reading a book! The stubbornness of both Cassie and James had me shaking my head, while the crazy relatives had me giggling uncontrollably. Not to mention an incident including nudity and a burning Christmas tree! Sounds hilarious right? Well hilarious would be the perfect word to describe this book. The characters are so likable and even though we only meet some of them briefly Katie has a way of writing them where you feel as though you know exactly who they are. I loved all the brothers and how they all look after Cassie. Meanwhile the attraction between James and Cassie is certainly hot enough to scorch the pages and the fact that he makes her feel things that no other man has, gets me all giddy. This is the perfect romantic holiday read with lots of laughter and steamy love making that you will be sure to remember long after you've finished reading it. I would definitely recommend Hunk for the Holidays to all of my lady friends who need a good romantic comedy to warm up their holiday season.

The old grey donkey, Eeyore stood by himself in a thistly corner of the Forest, his front feet well apart, his head on one side, and thought about things. Sometimes he thought sadly to himself, "Why?" and sometimes he thought, "Wherefore?" and sometimes he thought, "Inasmuch as which?" and sometimes he didn't quite know what he was thinking about.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to leave a comment. It's appreciated.
