Children's Book : Nellie's Magic Glasses by Sarit Gilor

Nellie is a very happy girl… But when she went with her Mom to the eye doctor and he said that she needs to wear glasses, she was not so thrilled about the idea… Until she found out that she has magic glasses…

Nellie's Magic Glasses is a sweet story about a little girl, Nellie, who gets glasses.  She doesn't want to wear them to school because she's afraid of being teased.  But, her teacher convinces her that they have magical powers.  Knowing what they can do, Nellie doesn't mind wearing her magic glasses.

A cute, illustrated story that is only sixteen pages, but can be read to little ones.  If you have a young reader who also doesn't want to wear glasses, this may inspire them.  I know I hated wearing glasses when I was younger, but I wish I had! So much I probably missed out on because I couldn't see properly.  Educational, easy to read and vividly illustrated, Nellie's Magic Glasses is a great story!

The old grey donkey, Eeyore stood by himself in a thistly corner of the Forest, his front feet well apart, his head on one side, and thought about things. Sometimes he thought sadly to himself, "Why?" and sometimes he thought, "Wherefore?" and sometimes he thought, "Inasmuch as which?" and sometimes he didn't quite know what he was thinking about.
