Love Gone Mad by Mark Rubinstein

When heart surgeon Adrian Douglas and Megan Haggarty, RN, meet at the hospital where they work, neither has any idea of the scorpion's nest into which they've stumbled. Strange and frightening events begin happening to each of them; someone is after them both--and the stalker is not only brilliant and crafty, but vows to exact revenge for the ultimate betrayal. As things spin out of control, Megan and Adrian fight for their lives.

Two people meet and fall in love.  It happens everyday.  But with Love Gone Mad, it goes much deeper and takes a spin with a crazy psychotic  killer.  The first few chapters had me intrigued, wondering what Rubinstein was setting me up for.  Both are divorced and trying to move forward with their lives when they meet at work.

Then things start going a bit crazy.  Stalking and unforeseen accidents, you know someone from one of their pasts is coming to get them.  But why? That's part of the fun, I just wish the writing hadn't been so clinical.  I would have liked a bit more depth.  Having read a lot of thrillers over the years, I was looking for that goose bump, chill factor.  If you like a bit of predictability in your thrillers, then you will probably adore Love Gone Mad.  For me, it was just okay.

The old grey donkey, Eeyore stood by himself in a thistly corner of the Forest, his front feet well apart, his head on one side, and thought about things. Sometimes he thought sadly to himself, "Why?" and sometimes he thought, "Wherefore?" and sometimes he thought, "Inasmuch as which?" and sometimes he didn't quite know what he was thinking about.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to leave a comment. It's appreciated.
