Angel of Death: A Short Story by K.W. McCabe

Thomas

has reigned as Lord of Death for nearly 2,000 years and his sanity is slowly
leaching away. Will he be forced to use the Choice to find a successor?

Or will
he lose his sanity before finding a way to escape eternity as Lord Death?

Angel of Death is only 37 pages, but the story will stay with you long after you finish this novella.  Thomas is an angel of death and he is on a quest to find a pure soul to take his place.  But that's where things get a bit worrisome.  Enter Sarah/Celia and he really has a choice on his hands.  I won't tell you what happens or why it happens because it would spoil the book for you.  I will tell you that Thomas is filled with turmoil on what to do - the right choice and the choice that the fates decide.

Beautifully written, with Thomas's plight the forefront, tugging on the reader's heartstrings.  You want to see him succeed, to leave the darkness, but at what cost? I highly recommend this short story! It can be read in one sitting and if not, you won't be able to put it down!  Love, love it!

*I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The old grey donkey, Eeyore stood by himself in a thistly corner of the Forest, his front feet well apart, his head on one side, and thought about things. Sometimes he thought sadly to himself, "Why?" and sometimes he thought, "Wherefore?" and sometimes he thought, "Inasmuch as which?" and sometimes he didn't quite know what he was thinking about.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to leave a comment. It's appreciated.
