Beth Hart, Bang Bang Boom Boom CD Review

Beth Hart's new album, Bang Bang Boom Boom, is a tour de force! In fact, I was surprised that I enjoyed all of the songs.  Not that I don't like Beth Hart's music, I do.  But usually it's hard to love every track from the get go.  But Hart is obviously moving in a new direction with her music.

All tracks are either written or co-written by her and there is a more upbeat tempo in the music and in her voice.  From the blues to jazz, Hart's voice soars with conviction and resonated with me on many levels.  I can't choose a favorite from the album as I like them all.  It's on a continuous loop right now in my truck, keeping my senses happy.  The vocals are fantastic, but the music is not to be out shown   The instruments shine, be it the piano or guitar - sure to strike a cord with anyone with their skillful maneuvering.  I highly recommend this album!

The old grey donkey, Eeyore stood by himself in a thistly corner of the Forest, his front feet well apart, his head on one side, and thought about things. Sometimes he thought sadly to himself, "Why?" and sometimes he thought, "Wherefore?" and sometimes he thought, "Inasmuch as which?" and sometimes he didn't quite know what he was thinking about.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to leave a comment. It's appreciated.
