You're The One That I Haunt (Nicki Styx, Book 3) by Terri Garey

Nicki Styx owns a vintage shop with her gay bff Evan. Nicki sees and hears the dead. So when she is having coffee with her boyfriend Joe at a nearby cafe, she is startled to see an anorexic teen glaring daggers at Joe. The teen, Crystal, is dead and she blames Joe for killing her. Joe is an ER doctor, and swears he did everything he could for her.

Crystal is out for revenge, and she'll use Sammy to get it if she has to. Sammy is the devil, and he gives Crystal a very special power; the power of possession. Crystal uses her new power to possess Nicki and declare that her boyfriend Joe was a murderer on live television. She also tells the folks on television that she can hear and talk to dead folks, so come on down to her shop for a free reading.

Nicki is shocked, frustrated, and beyond words. Joe ends up getting a suspension from the hospital while the investigation is going on, and Nicki and Evan try to put a stop to the people coming to their shop to speak to their lost loved ones. To top if all off, the tension is causing a rift in Joe and Nicki's relationship, and Sammy has opened a vinyl record store across the street.

Full of wit, sarcasm, and laugh-out loud lines, Terri Garey has penned a sure-fire winner! With a twisting fun that will have the dead spinning, and characters that sparkle with life, THE ONE THAT I HAUNT is a suspense-filled treat. I look forward to more in this series.

The old grey donkey, Eeyore stood by himself in a thistly corner of the Forest, his front feet well apart, his head on one side, and thought about things. Sometimes he thought sadly to himself, "Why?" and sometimes he thought, "Wherefore?" and sometimes he thought, "Inasmuch as which?" and sometimes he didn't quite know what he was thinking about.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to leave a comment. It's appreciated.
