Determined to know her, Jack begins an investigation into Beth’s past. When he uncovers the shocking truth, and a local woman is viciously murdered, Jack puts his own life on the line to keep Beth and her children safe.
MY THOUGHTS
This is a gripping romance/thriller. From the very first page, you're sucked into the story and left craving more. I couldn't put it down. The characters are alive and realistic. What impressed me most is the way that the writing style really set the mood for each scene. Instead of processing the information yourself and figuring out how you should feel, you're just taken along for the ride. The romance is sweet and building instead of over-the-top and annoying. The thrill will keep you in suspense.

The old grey donkey, Eeyore stood by himself in a thistly corner of the Forest, his front feet well apart, his head on one side, and thought about things. Sometimes he thought sadly to himself, "Why?" and sometimes he thought, "Wherefore?" and sometimes he thought, "Inasmuch as which?" and sometimes he didn't quite know what he was thinking about.
